ZTF Forming Technology–High Frequency Welded Pipe Forming Methods

ZTF forming technology is a longitudinal seam welded pipe forming process developed by ZTZG. It has scientifically and systematically analyzed the roll-type and row-roll forming technologies and established a reasonable forming theory. In 2010, it earns the ‘Technology Innovation Award’ by ‘China Cold Forming Steel Association’ in 2010. After absorbing advanced pipe making technology from both abroad and domestic, our innovative designed production line and each single unit of the production line are not only economical but also practical.

It draws lessons from the significant deformation characteristics of roll forming. Equipped with 5 flat rolls, 4 vertical rolls, 2 precision forming, and 1 extrusion rack. The forming method is a multi-step overall bending forming, each bending is close to the welding radius, and is divided into 5 rough forming passes to gradually bend from the edge to the center of the steel strip, and each bending is about 1/10 of the width of the steel strip. In order to adopt a communal hole, the rolling curve assumes an approximate involute with continuous curvature change. Therefore, the curvature of each curved segment is non-uniform. After being grouped, it forms an approximate circle with uneven curvature and is integrated into the welding frame after two fine-forming frames. The system is a discontinuous forming process, and there is a tendency to stretch the edge of the steel strip. In order to reduce the forming height, the W forming method is adopted. Among them, 5 sets of flat rolls and 4 sets of vertical rolls are shared rolls. For steel pipes of different specifications, there is no need to replace the rolls and only need to adjust them. It solves the problem of a large number of roll-forming rolls and a long time for roll change.

Advantage:

A set of rolls can produce round tubes of any specification within the range of Ф89~Ф165 before the closed roll.

The ZTF forming method adopts a flexible forming process in the common part, which improves the service life of the roll.

Short roll-changing time, reduces labor intensity, and improves production efficiency.
